The exhibition Psychocartography interrogates the middle ground between Margaret Sommervilles’ Placed Based Literacies and María Puig de la Bellacasa’s Matters of Care in visualizing a series of place based speculative ethics. In exploring Indigenist and Feminist standpoints to more than human worlds – Bruno Latour’s Matters of Concern are attempted to be transformed to Matters of (specifically place-centric) Care. The limits to care are explored and challenged through posthumanist performativity – and through emergent media including augmented and virtual reality. The exhibition provides new knowledge through exploring the specific question of how a posthumanist ethics might be visualized through emergent media and the spatial ethics of augmented and virtual reality.
